Understanding how solar works can be confusing because of so much unfamiliar terminology. This glossary explains the key terms and concepts you need to know to navigate your solar journey confidently.
You probably know that solar energy harnesses the sun’s power to generate electricity for your home, but how does that happen? Learn how it works.
A little maintenance goes a long way to helping your solar panels operate efficiently. Learn how a little TLC can help ensure your panels are operating at peak efficiency.
Your solar panels are soaking up the rays, but the power goes out—and so does your solar system. Let's explore why this happens.
A home solar system converts sunlight into electricity to power your home. With EverBright, you’re still connected to the grid, but your panels take on the heavy lifting — especially during peak daylight hours.
Our solar systems are built for long-term performance, and we back them with a production guarantee. We look at your solar production every two years. If your system isn’t meeting expectations as defined by your agreement, we’ll issue a credit to your solar energy bill.
EverBright offers solar + battery agreements that allow you to add one or more batteries to store excess energy produced by the solar panels. This way, you have backup power during outages with clean, quiet battery backup instead of relying on noisy generators.
Yes! By signing up for an EverBright power purchase agreement, or PPA, you can go solar with no upfront costs while securing a predictable payment for 25 years for the energy your system produces.
The benefits of an EverBright solar product include a potentially lower electric utility bill and the environmental benefits of using renewable energy. Additionally, EverBright offers live support and monitoring*, service and repairs if needed at no additional charge for PPAs and Leases, notwithstanding certain conditions such as extreme weather events or foreign objects that could cause equipment to break.
*Original contracts signed prior to March 2023 may not include monitoring in MyEverBright.
Your system was designed with the previous owner’s energy usage profile. Depending on your energy habits, the solar system should help reduce your electric utility bills by generating electricity and reducing your reliance on the grid. However, your system will continue to be tied to the utility grid, and you will still have a utility bill to cover things like interconnection fees, taxes, and energy use for times when your solar system may not be producing energy, like during inclement weather or at night.
