Position Description

EverBright is driving the clean energy revolution through its industry-leading solar software platform and financing marketplace. Every day, EverBright supports hundreds of residential solar installers and home improvement contractors across the U.S., ensuring they have the tools to be successful and accelerate consumer adoption of clean energy. 

EverBright has an ambitious vision to enable the decarbonization of the home and we’re looking for a Project Manager, Business Development to join a new team within EverBright responsible for identifying significant market opportunities for EverBright’s clean energy solutions and designing new commercial offerings to penetrate those opportunities. Near-term priorities include launching EverBright’s virtual power plant offering and collaborating with affiliate groups to offer their products and services on EverBright platform.

  • Support the team in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities in the residential solar and virtual power plant market.

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Support market sizing, business case development and regulatory diligence to qualify new market opportunities and inform go-to-market strategies.
  • Assist in the development of business proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, finance, and marketing, to develop and refine new business products.
  • Assist in contract negotiations with customers, partners, and vendors.
  • Monitor and track progress on business development initiatives and provide regular reports.

Job Overview

Employees in this role assist in the development and execution of plans for new and enhanced generation projects. This job coordinates allocation of resources, schedules, and technical adequacy, ensuring the project or transaction is completed in the most cost effective and competitive manner. This position participates in all aspects of the business deal and ensures the project is completed on time and within budgetary constraints.

Job Duties

  • Leads and facilitates the day-to-day transaction process to ensure timely completion as well as a cost effective and competitive result.

  • Coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiations.
  • Supports due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projects.
  • Acts as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnection.
  • Assists in the construction of contractual arrangements for project development.
  • Participates in negotiating agreements with consultants and subcontractors.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the community.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related field, preferably in the renewable energy industry
  • Strong analytical, presentation, project management, and critical thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ideal candidate will a passion for emerging technologies and a strong desire to win

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad / GED

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

  • Experience: 3+ years
