EverBright is driving the clean energy revolution through its industry-leading residential solar software platform and financing program. Every day, EverBright supports hundreds of solar companies across the US, ensuring they have the tools to be successful and accelerate consumer adoption of clean energy. EverBright has an ambitious vision to enable the decarbonization of the home through VPPs and new product offerings and markets, and we’re looking for a Project Director to lead Origination and business development in our VPP/New Markets and Products team.
As an Originator within Business Development at EverBright, you will be at the forefront of this vision by leading the company’s customer origination and development activities with key segments of the market such as IOUs, Municipalities, CCAs and Coops, as well as VPP-ready segments of the building/development industry such as Passive Homes, Affordable Housing, and Rural development. You will be tasked with supporting the launch of new products and offerings including expansion into new business verticals, tracking and analyzing the performance of new and existing market entries, and developing processes and documentation to support product strategy and delivery. This is an interdisciplinary role which requires working with account managers, solutions engineers, operations, and product, along with business development leaders, to support the implementation of our strategy. The position will enjoy extensive opportunity to support the company’s growth in delivering renewable energy solutions to its customers across the country.
This is a customer-facing role, which requires travel and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience interacting with client leadership is a must. You also will manage the internal activities required to respond to bilateral opportunities and formal RFP processes, and ensure we optimize solutions to provide maximum value to our customers. The position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, constantly collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer driven deadlines. As part of a growing company, you will also be involved in projects outside of origination. This role will require a strong understanding of solar, storage, and energy efficiency applications as well as key market drivers, and applying this knowledge to identifying and targeting new growth opportunities.
Employees in this role develop and execute plans for new or enhanced generation projects. This job is responsible for resource allocation, schedules, cost and technical adequacy, ensuring the project or transaction is completed in the most cost effective and competitive manner. This position manages all aspects of the business deal and ensures the project is completed on time and within budgetary constraints.
