Every day, EverBright supports hundreds of solar companies across the US, ensuring they have the tools to be successful and accelerate consumer adoption of clean energy.

As an Inside Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of inside account manager professionals. The team’s primary responsibilities include prospecting new accounts, onboarding new prospective channel partners, conducting training and software demos, and growing the account to become a successful NextEra partner. The ideal candidate must be highly engaging and professional, be a positive, team player, have a high degree of sales acumen and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

 

Job Overview

This job is responsible for managing a sales team within a territory to achieve profitable selling of energy products and services. This role will have team management responsibilities.

 

Job Duties

  • Leads, coaches, and develops professional sales staff, continually improves performance, and translates key initiatives into action

  • Implements sales strategies to ensure achievement of quota and sales targets

  • Evaluates account management performance, business practices, and sales efforts to ensure targets are met

  • Implements sales policies and common sales processes to improve efficiency, and performance and help identify new product categories

  • Drives our channel partners to meet or exceed business goals

  • Delivers training and effective coaching to our channel partners

  • Collaborates with the sales and account management team and internal, cross-functional parties in support of partner success

  • Deal effectively with all inquiries and represent NextEra in a professional, informative, and engaging manner

  • Support the messaging and the development of marketing content to drive inbound and outbound sales

  • Participate in special projects that drive revenue generation as needed within the sales organization

  • Perform other job-related duties

 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Coordinates sales efforts by establishing sales quotas within the team

  • Analyzes sales statistics to help promote sales

  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates

  • Develops sales campaigns that are aligned with the goals of the business unit

  • Leads, coaches, and develops professional sales staff, continually improves performance and translates key initiatives into action

  • Implements sales strategies to ensure achievement of membership and margin goals

  • Evaluates account management performance, business practices, and sales efforts to ensure targets are met

  • Implements sales policies and common sales processes to improve efficiency, and performance and help identify new product categories

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Management in sales, business development, customer-facing roles or similar experience

  • A proven track record in working in a target-driven environment; previous experience carrying a sales quota

  • Ability to drive a vehicle during the normal course of business. Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check.

  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.

  • A high degree of empathy toward customers and a strong desire to ensure high customer satisfaction

  • Ability to learn new technology and procedures

  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems

  • Previous experience in the solar and/or renewable energy industry

  • Previous experience with B2B software

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance

  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

  • Experience: 8+ years

  • Leadership Experience: 2+ years
